I find the idea very appealing that God writes everyone’s name in the Book of Life when they are born (or conceived), in the hopes that they will embrace salvation, and only blots people’s names out of the book if they definitively reject salvation. Permanent state stands not written.

Speaking to the “overcomers”—all those redeemed by the blood of the Lamb—Jesus gives His word that He will not delete their names. Permanent state stands not written. Those whose names were not written and are still not written in the book of life. They would be saying they were better than other people–so good, in fact, that God would have to let them into heaven.

Revelation 13:8 speaks of the Beast of the end times, saying, "all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain."

The Bible also speaks of those whose names have not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life. Revelation 13:8 - And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The Lambs Book of Life: Not everyone has his or her name written in the Lamb's Book of Life!One's name is not written in at birth, nor does he or she have it written in by the sovereign choice of God. We know that the elect’s names have been written in the book of life before the foundation of the world. Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. Those whose names are written in the book of life are those who belong to God, those who have attained eternal life. If it is true that your name is written in the Lamb’s book of life, when you hear the gospel, you will believe in Jesus Christ.

When it comes to the Book of Life, there are no erasers.
